The facts about trade union facility time
You will have seen recent attacks from Tory MPs on effective trade union organisation. Unite has produced a briefing The Facts About Trade Union Facility Time... The TUC has also launched a report Facility Time Separating Fact from Fictionwhich values the contribution that workplace representatives make to the economy - £2m/day. In the light that facilities agreements for representatives are under review by some employers, it is worth reminding employers about the immense contribution that you bring to their organisation. This report should assist.
Public sector equality
All NHS employers in England were required to publish information to demonstrate they are complying with the public sector equality duty by 31st January 2012 under the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 and a briefing on this is attached.
